Artur Ribas

CEO e Co-fundador, Kiwify

Kiwify’s co-founder and CEO, Artur de Oliveira Ribas, is Brazilian, born in Itajaí/SC, on October 27, 1994. He learned programming and started his entrepreneurial career at the age of 15 in the games market, building game servers. At this time, he met his partner, who invested in the operation and expanded the number of servers to 16. This expansion, combined with word-of-mouth marketing, allowed him to build a community of 50,000 players and obtain a turnover of 100,000 reais within a year.

After that, between 2011 and 2012, he began researching foreign business models, sparking his interest in getting into digital marketing. With an initial investment of $600, he built an advertising network with interstitial ads, which grew from 0 to 16,000 publishers and hundreds of millions of views in just 3 months. This network allowed sites to monetize their content through protected links; in this way, advertisers paid the network to display ads and the network in turn passed on a portion to the sites.

Between 2012 and 2019, he was cofounder and CEO of RPX Internet, a marketplace for the sale of info-products and physical products, which had more than 20 employees, physical offices in Balneário Camboriú and São Paulo, and that, in addition to Brazil, sold to more than 30 countries on several continents through direct response marketing, reaching revenues of more than 200 million reais. This operation also enabled him to know the market in Africa, selling various products in countries such as Kenya and Nigeria, and in this way, he discovered that these countries had great demands in the financial sector, this being the kickoff for his next project.

In 2019, he co-founded and CEOed dPay.ng in Nigeria, an app for instant loans to people who have no normal financial history, in developing countries. However, he noticed that a bubble was forming in the region, with several other apps being used to repay each other’s loans; however, the amount credited by dPay.ng was recovered and the operation was shut down.

In January 2020, he started Kiwicheckout, which in October of the same year became Kiwify as it is today, a platform for selling infoproducts simply and easily, where anyone can create and sell their online course. Currently, it is the fastest growing platform for info-products in Brazil, with more than 7,000 active info-producers and more than 1 million people in its network of buyers.

Today, Artur de Oliveira Ribas is married, lives in Balneário Camboriú, and is cofounder and CEO of Kiwify.
